Day 2 Swimming All Day!

Today was day 2 of all day swimming....so about 11am my Mom, Gabrielle, Blake, Bailey and Logan along with myself, Shelby and Fallon had an official swim day! We took a break at lunch time and then went back swimming until 4pm when Mom and all kids except Shelby and Fallon went home. Then for about an hour the pool was peaceful enough for me to float on a raft until along come Shelby and Fallon and pretty soon Tracy. What a great day!!

Pool Days!

Yesterday was the opening of the swimming pool! Even though we still have a lot of work to do around the pool and yard, the swimming pool is ready to swim in! It is like swimming in the river right now since we filled it up right out of the well but it didn't seem to bother all our family and friends that stopped by to visit yesterday. We are hoping to have lots of friends and family swimming in the next couple of months, years, etc.. We are also hoping to keep Cody and Shelby around our house which is always good to do with a couple of teenagers!

The Swimming Pool is In!!

Today was the day! As I write this, the pool it still filling and I can hear the shop vac working away! Thanks to the help of Dave's Mom and Dad and our wonderful children we were able to get the liner in and begin filling the swimming pool finally! It has been a lot of hard work mostly for Dave but I can say that it looks beautiful and actually putting the liner in was much easier than we thought! Let the Pool Parties begin!!

Thursday we were able to go swimming for the day at a friend of my Mom's house and now we are more ready than before to get that pool in that is why we are off to work on it today (Friday). One difference will be the water temperature about 20 degrees difference at first. I told the kids that it will be like swimming in the river-go in a little-get num- then go in more!! We are all so excited!! I will post pictures later today of the progress....

Almost Pool Time!!!

Baseball is now over or at least until Fall Ball and Volleyball....so the next pictures that I post on our blog will be of the finished product...

Dave says that the liner is going in Friday or Saturday...then comes water (cold water) but who cares at this point!!

Where Does Time Go???

Not sure if it is the heat or what...but today I decided to start trying to organize my pictures and that is when I decided that time is going by way too fast.....

Now Cody on the other hand...one was taken in 9-10 All-Stars when he was 10 and the other this year pitching at BK High School for High School Varsity...

"Lizzie" the goat

Well, never a dull moment around here! It seems that daily and multiple time a day Lizzie has been finding a way to escape her pen! With baseball games nightly, Dave has been trying to find out where she is getting out and each night fixes a spot or two. Then the next morning, guess who is out on the deck? Yes, you guessed it "Lizzie". So each morning, I make Shelby put her goat away. Yes, it is her goat since it was a birthday present when she was in the 2nd grade! So Thursday night after a baseball game and dinner, we arrive home to a call from a Canyon County Sheriff that our goat was out and eating the neighbors flowers!! He put her away and asked that we try to secure the area a little better. We love our neighbor since we no longer have any dogs but continue to find dog poop in our yard yet we never call the sheriff! We have secured the area and Lizzie has not been out since Friday morning but the war is on! Just look at her-she looks so sweet!!
