Christmas Day 2010
A few family Christmas photos!
What a GREAT idea for our nephew!
We hosted Christmas this year....and I believe a great time and a wonderful Christmas was had by ALL! Although we missed Dave's Mom and Dad this year (as they are in California), we still had a little snow on the ground from Mondays Snow Storm and it was a beautiful day (a little windy). We had way to much food and will be eating Ham and Turkey forever and then we will have Ham and Bean soup and Turkey soup! The kids got everything they asked for for Christmas and more....I just can't believe how old they are getting....Cody is saving for a used motorcycle so "Santa" brought him some cash and Shelby got a Snowboard jacket and shoes!
Now we have a relaxing week ahead of us with not much planned....Shelby has Basketball practice all week...Dave is home all week....hoping to head up the mountain for the New Years Eve (for a couple day).
Merry Christmas and Happy 2011 to ALL!
December 1st "Snow Day"
November 30th it starting snowing and it kept snowing and snowing and the morning of December 1st, I was woke up at about 4:30am with the call from school "SNOW DAY!" About 7 to 8 inches of snow!!
Unable to go back to sleep, I was able to get some of my shopping "cyper" done and then although I had lots of stuff to do and thought I was going to get a lot done. I did NOTHING!
Shelby did have practice in the afternoon and Cody and his friends went out to an empty field and caused some trouble with some snowmobiles, tow ropes, truck bed liners, etc..
Dave caused some trouble too first thing in the morning, as he chained up of a hour of so and left for work....I received a call that he had gotten a ticket....failing to stop at a stop sign even though if he would have stopped (he was the only one on the road....other than the COP) he would have been stuck!! He is fighting this ticket since it is his first ticket ever so a court date (March 2nd?) has been set!
Christmas Cookie Baking 101
Heather wanted to where her apron up top since this is where she always makes a mess!
Santa's little helpers :)
This way Heather didn't look too weird!
And Cody joins in the fun!
This year since Heather was unemployed and everyone else was on Christmas break...Mom was so excited to have us all over to make Cookies. She said bring your favorite recipe but I told her I didn't really have a favorite as I try not to bake them or I will eat them! We all had a great time even Cody who left for a little while to go hitting but returned ready to decorate cookies! We spent all day bonding and making lots and lots of cookies of which we now have most of them due to hosting Christmas!
