First of all, WOW! It has been forever since I have blogged :(
But what better way to get back into it then with some beautiful Homecoming Pictures!
Shelby and her boyfriend, Grady went to Homecoming last night and had a great time. You will notice that Cody had to get in the picture too even though he wasn't going! He hates dances but says that he will go to Prom again!

Easter Sunday!
We had a wonderful, relaxing Easter this year at The Jablonski's House! Dinner was great, too much as always! Lots of visiting and just watching Jasper! At our house, we actually skipped the Easter egg hunt this year but the Easter Bunny came and brought new Swimsuits for the kids! He must think that it is going to warm up soon!
Prom 2011
The day started with a bowling trip, then the boys all came over to get ready, then pictures, pictures and more pictures finally they got to go to dinner. They had dinner at The River Rock Ale House in Eagle and headed into downtown Boise for the Junior/Senior Prom! A good time was had by all and they all looked GREAT!
I still can't believe that he is old enough to go to Prom, it seems like we were just going to Prom!

Spring Sports
I can't make excuses so I won't even try....I decided today that I better catch up on blogging a little before going outside to start working on cleaning up the pool!
This Spring although it doesn't seem like Spring has gone by way too fast....with both kids playing Baseball, Softball and Shelby playing AAU basketball too, we wonder where all our time goes!
The JV girls softball is doing great considering how young they are...the starting infield is all Freshman if Shelby is pitching. With a week left of games, they are trying hard to make it to the District tourney of which they only take 4 teams at the sub-Varsity level.
The Varsity Baseball team is coming alive and at the right time...bats, pitching, it is all coming together. With two games left in the regular season on Tuesday and Wednesday they sit as the 4th seed. We are all excited to see how far they can go especially if they keep playing the way that they have been playing. For the first time in the 3 years that Cody has played Varsity, they beat Bishop Kelly HS on Friday!
Districts will start on Saturday for both kiddos!

Spring Sports ~ Opening Day
Well, it is now the beginning of my favorite time of the year....Baseball and now Softball season! Picking a Spring Sport for Shelby was quite a challegne and one we thought that she had overcome just in time for the High School Spring Sports Meeting she had decided to run track so the uniform was ordered and spirit gear and on the last Monday in February she was off to track practice! After the first practice, we had on our hands one very upset girl, although I continued to try and talk up track and how it would get better she didn't think so....so the next day at school she spoke to both the track coach and the softball coach! She was able to still go out for SOFTBALL with a chance for a fair try-out! Now I believe that she is very, happy with her decision and maybe has learned a lesson from this but one will ever know! She started her season playing the first game on Friday for the Freshman team, she pitched and had 2 hits and the only 2 runs. Then on Saturday, she played her first game with JV and the Freshman team needed her to pitch again. We are short a few pitchers! Next week is the start of regular season and we think she will be playing most of the time with the JV team! Although we would have supported her no matter what, WE are so happy with her decision to play Softball as we all love the sport!
Saturday was Opening Day for the Middleton Vikings Varsity Baseball team with a double header at Endicott Field! We kicked it off with a team dinner on Friday night at our house and I think a good time was had by all. I do know that nobody left hungry. We had a lot of food (Alfredo, salad and garlic bread) for 15 growing boys! The first game started at 11am against Kuna, Cody was the starting pitcher and each pitcher only pitched two or three innings, our early score was 1-3 then 2-4 then we took the lead 5-4 and the win. Next game was at 5pm or so, following an extra inning Kuna/New Plymouth game, this time we played New Plymouth and started 0-1 then 1-5 then ended the game again in the lead 8-6 after 5 innings called for darkness. Off to a great start!
This next week will be our test week, with Shelby having games Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Cody playing on Thursday and Friday! I guess we will be home on Monday :)
